Ahh the joys of diagrams is definitely something I feel I could improve upon. Process maps is an area always on my mind, getting started is always the hardest part for me. Totally agree that visual communication helps the stakeholders understand more easily.

@Gagan: As much as I find that writing helps with my clarity, I find that visualising what I'm trying to do works even better. But, remember, each to to their own preferred way of grasping the nettle of a problem.

Have you seen Jay Foreman's mini YouTube series on the London tube map?

I thought the history was interesting. But the simple elegance of the map's design makes it so iconic and user-friendly, the design became a popular choice around the world.

I thought it speaks to your point about the importance of visual communication.

@Alvin: Yeah - I have seen that video. And, if you recall, I used the tube map as the inspiration for visualising my certification journey back in Issue 34 (https://newsletter.requira.com/p/034-the-forcing-function). 😉

Thinking about it, should've used that as my lateral example!
